What type of decking do you use?
Standard decking is redwood with 2 profiles. Hardwood decking is Ekki. We also use 2 types of anti-slip decking.(see gallery for more info)
Where can i purchase summer houses and sheds?
We always reccomend,Boundary Store, London Rd, Allostock, Nr Knutsford, Cheshire.
Where do you get your timber.
Most of our timber is supplied by Marthall Timber Products, Chelford Rd, Ollerton, Nr Knutsford
How long have you been fencing?
The company was established in 1985. Working mainly on motorways,large construction sites and country estates. In 2000 timber decking was introduced into the company.
Can fencing be done to reduce noise?
We can supply and fit a range of acoustic fencing which has been designed to reflect noise. See Gallery for photograph.
How are posts set in the ground?
For all types of stock fencing posts are driven in with a tractor mounted post driver. See gallery for Photogragh. For Domestic fences posts are usually set in concrete.
What types of fencing do you undertake?
We carry out all types of fencing, such as,wooden, steal, concrete, and plastic to give clients a wide choice.
How long does Decking last?
Decking is Kiln dried, tanalized and oiled. If maintained reguarly should last 40 years minimum.
What about decking maintenence?
we suggest decking should be cleaned and oiled anually to prolong life and appearance.
Does decking get slippy?
Yes it can do,however anual maintenance will prevent this happening.
Why use decking?
It is quick and easy to create a warm seating area overcoming problems with ground levels far more effectively than stone.
How high can my fence be?
You can usually go two metres high, any higher you will need planning permission.
Does my decking need planning permission?
Decking only needs plannning permission if in a public area i.e parks, bars and resturants.
How long does timber last?
All the timber we use is 25 year tanalized to BS5750 and has a life span of 30 years plus.
What about concrete panel fences?
Generally a little more expensive and have a similar life span to timber.
